West Valley. If it's a problem they can handle immediately, it's fine. If it's a problem that they have to follow up on it's trash.

I have a financial aid problem that has been going on for 90 days in 4 more days. From Summer B. It is almost Thanksgiving in Fall. The problem is they have no continuity. They will start from the beginning EVERY time. Don't check the thread of emails to see the info they already gave you and get snippy when you point out the information. They basically told me they don't want to deal with me anymore this morning. As long as financial aid bounces me back to them I HAVE to go through them.

I'm glad and I'm sure it's mutual that my degree decided to pull us to another campus next fall. At least I won't have to deal with the hostility. I hope people learn to understand: What is a case for you to let go of when you go home impacts a students whole life. And when it's financial it compounds.

PTVC train your people to control the voices in their heads. I control what I write. I'm not in control of how they read it.

I’ve had great experiences and not so great experiences with PTVC but all in all, the representatives that work here do try and assist the student-veteran demographic as best they can. I’ve been a student for a long time and I always feel comfortable reaching out to the office when I experience a hiccup in my educational benefit administrative process. My best piece of advice when interacting with the office is to take notes and spend time understanding what is being said by any representative. Put in the time before/after to research the avenues that are appropriate for your circumstance and you’ll have a smooth process ahead of you.

The PTVC has been the worst part of my ASU experience. I have had to jump through hoops and do additional steps just to get them to approve my VA benefits. Every term! It’s been frustrating! Also, my bill doesn’t get paid so I get emails from the bursar’s office. There is a Sheena who works there who likes to throw attitude when you question something. I’m so very disappointed! A veterans center with people who are rude to our veterans. A disgrace to the Pat Tillman name.

After jumping through email hoops and various forms to be only kicked back “incorrect” and then when I call the center, I get corrected over vernacular and told it’s almost closing time. My issue is still unresolved and I now will face financial penalties. Utter disgrace.

Be prepared they don’t check in on you of what forms you don’t have for gi bill. I submitted coe and months later they told me it would take 2 months to process. Still never saw it. I called VA the lady said they never received it. I’m so upset. I called the Pat Tillman center TWICE!!!!! ASU DO BETTER GET AFTER YOUR EMPLOYEES.

Phone calls and emails are ignored or addressed only after weeks of waiting. A disgraceful organization unworthy of the Pat Tillman name. ASU needs to scrap this entire organization and rebuild it to get some sort of functionality. I think we all agree our veterans deserve better.

For people like Daniel Melendez who think I am just signing up for classes the week before and expecting things to be spoon fed to me... I am an online student so I can only contact the Veterans Center via Email or Phone. Just this year, I enrolled in courses two and a half months in advance, sent the email as directed for Tuition Assistance without response for weeks. I had to go to my local education center on post to try an make sure I emailed the right email groups (yes multiple group emails). My education center counsellor found a couple other contacts who I also emailed. Those personnel responded to the email within a couple hours saying they no longer work in that department, but CC'd the original guy I emailed and his supervisor. Only after the supervisor was made aware of the situation was the ONE Person who could do this job forced to click his couple buttons, so I can get Tuition Assistance for my class. This has happened multiple times and the service is still garbage. Don't make assumptions about why most of the reviews are poor even though you had the one off "good experience"...

They told me that they review the course enrollments and submit it to VA on students' behalf. However, if there were any issues related for the benefits payments, students have to contact VA directly and make us take care of the debts. If they "review" they should notice and notify students if there were any mistakes or possible future problems, like the numbers of credits differences, etc. Be careful, they don't care if we end up in debts and struggle with extra stresses. I really wish I could do on my own to enroll courseswithout going through PTVC.

Four semesters in a row PTVC has either forgotten to bill the VA or did so incorrectly resulting in a hold on my account right before my final class/graduation. They do fix it when I call however I should not have to call every semester. 10/10 would not recommend. I loved ASU otherwise but it’s not worth the headache of fighting to have your GI bill processed
