As an individual who had an idea to secure, I interviewed 7 different patent attorneys, including some of those who come up as top results in Google. I found Samar Shah the most suitable person for this journey.
For me, these were the things I liked:
He talked at eye level, he was a listener, he was engaged and answered any and all questions I had. Samar did not limit the time of the initial conversation nor the time of any other conversations we ever had. He actually never mentioned time blocks. This was very positive for me because I knew my idea would require diving into details and that could take time.
During the work on the patent application draft Samar and an additional professional whom I worked with were very responsive. They addressed all my comments and inputs, and helped shape the patent application to express the idea how I imagined it (and that is not an easy task...).
I was very happy with the final draft version and was amazed that they could translate all the (perhaps not so easy to realize) details I had in my head to a professional, legal, and official patent application.
Samar is a hungry attorney who works with you and interacts with you as you were one of his good old friends. The total opposite of a "New York Suit" where I imagine the client may only be seen as an income source.
Even after the patent application filing, when he had no further commitments, Samar met with me face to face to talk about what's next, and way beyond. Here too, there was no looking at the clock or any of that. It was a genuine friendly conversation with real interest.
If I have another patent, I know where I'll go (again).
