This is an amazing foundation that provides scholarships for vets and their spouses. They are incredibly selective and make sure that the students that get assistance are the best of the best. Any complaints about the run itself are really off topic. The run is super popular because the Tillman foundation is doing amazing work and it supports the community in tangible and real ways. If you are worried about your timing chip or the minor inconveniences of parking or waiting your turn to run, you are really-REALLY-missing the whole point. The Tillman foundation honors an American patriot who sacrificed everything to serve his country and then supports vets and their families who also have made incredible sacrifices. I don't care about my run time, that I had to walk a half mile from my car or that I stood with other like minded people for a while before I got to run. I really hope anyone else who thinks about positing a review here should consider who Pat was and try to maybe fold that into their thought process before they complain. God bless Pat's family and thank you so much for your mission.

While the run was fun, some information around the organization of the race was lacking. First, everyone was organized by corrals. Good in concept, but being our first time we placed ourselves too conservatively. It took 3 to 4 minutes between each departure for each corral. As a consequence we didn't get running until an hour and 15 minutes after the lead runners. Just not fun hanging around doing nothing for that length of time. The second thing is communication around parking. The brochure encouraged taking the light rail, but also indicated parking areas around the race. What the brochure didn't advise was that the parking areas were not all free. We were there early, but ended up in a lot that charged us $16 for our time there. A little heads up would help.

Participated in Pat's Run. My only disappointment was that the "timing strip" on back of Bib failed to record my times. For both my "splits" and total time. Not sure why & this was 1st time in 6 yrs it's happened. Sent email to Pat Tillman Foundation but no response back yet
